Huh?
- I took a cab ride today and was honestly confused by the driver's attempt at a conversation.
- Driver: So where do you live?
- Me: Oh, I live here in DC.
- Driver: Oh really?!
- Me: Yes
- Driver: I thought you were from California
- Me: Nope. I am definitely not from the West Coast.
- How do I in the least bit look Californian? I'm slightly disturbed I might be perceived that way. At least when I'm in New York I get stopped on the street for directions, that's encouraging.
